Ping, Nagpasalamat: Umento sa Pensiyon ng MUP Retirees, Tuloy Na!

Sa wakas, tuloy na tuloy na ang umento sa pensiyon ng mga retiradong Military and Uniformed Personnel (MUP), matapos ito bigyan ng sapat na pondo ng Department of Budget and Management.

Nagpasalamat si Lacson, na miyembro ng Philippine Military Academy Class 1971, kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para sa dagdag na benipisyo sa ilalim ng Joint Resolution No. 1.

“On behalf of the 220,000 MUP retirees, let me say a lifetime ‘THANK YOU’ to PRRD for Joint Resolution No 1. No other President has shown such concern for those who served and offered their lives for country and people. All we have to do is continue breathing for as long as we can,” pahayag ni Lacson sa kanyang Twitter account.

Inanunsyo ng DBM sa linggong ito na inilabas na nito ang pension requirements para sa retiradong MUP.

Kabilang sa mga makikinabang sa dagdag na benipisyo ay ang mga retiradong MUP ng Armed Forces of the Philippines – General Headquarters (AFP-GHQ), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) at Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Ayon sa DBM, inilabas na umano nito ang P29.9-B para sa AFP-GHQ, P21.7-B para sa PNP, P1.9-B sa BFP at tinatayang P731-M sa BJMP.

“Accordingly, the recently released amounts already include the adjustment of the pension of the retired MUPs as indexed to the base pay scale of MUP in the active service covering the period June to December 2019 based on the available funds as certified by the Bureau of Treasury,” dagdag ng DBM.

Sa deliberasyon ng pambansang badyet ngayong taon, isinulong ni Lacson ang dagdag pondo na umaabot sa P876.42-M sa Pension and Gratuity Fund para sa P15,000 na dagdag sa pensiyon ng 4,869 na beterano.

Si Lacson din ang nagsulong sa Senado ng Senate Joint Resolution, kasama ang kanyang mistah na si Senador Gregorio Honasan II, na naglalayong dagdagan ang base pay ng uniformed personnel sa pamahalaan na nagresulta sa pagkakalikha at pagkakapruba ng Pangulo sa Joint Resolution No. 01.
