Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano’s latest “tale spin” attempt on the controversy involving anomalous infrastructure projects and illegal reclamation in Taguig only betrays his panic, Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson said Saturday evening.
Lacson, responding to Cayetano’s latest “live selling” on social media, also said Cayetano should name the “individuals” he claimed he “threatened” so he can address the issue directly, adding no amount of spin could make the guilt go away for those involved.

“Spinning tales betrays panic but like guilt, it will never go away,” Lacson said in a post on his X account.
“Sen. Cayetano should name the ‘individuals’ he alleged I threatened, so I can properly address this new issue point by point,” he added.
In his Facebook Live post, Cayetano had claimed receiving “feelers” that some parties were being pressured to admit there were irregularities in Taguig.
Earlier, Lacson noted that Cayetano’s accusations of a politically motivated demolition job, fake news and trial by publicity smacked of “quaking in his boots” while “quacking.”

Lacson and his team have submitted to the Ombudsman at least 45 case studies backed by official documents detailing “systemic anomalies” in flood control infrastructure projects in Taguig. These prompted a fact-finding investigation by the Ombudsman into the allegations.
Also, Lacson posted recently on X a raw video from a composite inspection team documenting continued illegal reclamation on the Taguig side of Laguna Lake.

Nagbunsod ang mga ito ng fact-finding investigation ng Ombudsman sa mga alegasyon.
