Lacson: Taguig Reclamation, Infra Evidence Makes Cayetano ‘Quake While Quacking’

The evidence gathered on “illegal” reclamation and infrastructure activities in Taguig City is making Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano “quake while quacking,” Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson said Thursday.

Lacson said that while Cayetano can make all the accusations he wants about the investigation being “politically motivated,” the evidence has spoken and is now with the Office of the Ombudsman.

Lacson Rebuts Cayetano on Illegally Reclaimed Land in Taguig City: What If It Wasn’t Exposed?

If the alleged illegal reclamation activities on the Taguig City side of Laguna Lake had not been exposed, would Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano still be “hoping” that the allegations of illegally titled properties in the area are true so the government could stand to gain from the land?

Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson raised this question Monday after Cayetano claimed over the weekend that the parcels of allegedly illegally reclaimed land, including an 18-hectare property, could go to the government.

Lacson: At Least P3.713-B in Public Funds Wasted on Projects in ‘Illegal’ Taguig Reclamation

At least P3.713 billion in public funds may have been wasted on projects along areas of Laguna Lake in Taguig City that are subject to government action over “illegal” reclamation, Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson disclosed on Monday.

“WASTED PUBLIC FUNDS DUE TO MISUSE: Based on official records and our investigation, the total cost of Identified completed, ongoing (and suspended) DPWH Flood Control and Multi-Purpose Projects along the ‘illegal’ Laguna Lakeshore Reclamation Areas in Taguig City has so far reached ₱3.713 billion,” Lacson said in a post on X.

Not Fake News: Lacson Details At Least 4 ‘Fraudulently’ Titled Parcels of Illegally Reclaimed Land in Taguig

Four parcels of illegally reclaimed land in Taguig City have been initially identified as covered by “fraudulently” issued land titles, while at least four other parcels have no plotted title lots in the digital file of the Land Registration Authority (LRA) , Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson said Saturday.

Lacson made public the details of the initial findings to dispel insinuations that his earlier disclosures on the illegal reclamation activities in Taguig City were “fake news.”

Lacson: LRA Checking Land Titles Linked to ‘Suspectedly Illegal’ Reclaimed Land in Taguig City

The Land Registration Authority (LRA) is now checking the origin and history of several uncovered land titles covering some 38.83 hectares of illegally reclaimed areas on the Taguig City side of Laguna Lake, based on the materials provided by the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) to his office, Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson said.

“I requested them to backtrack the history of the issued OCTs (original certificates of title) and other modes of titling, so we will find out how they were manipulated with the end in view of filing criminal charges against those responsible,” Lacson said.
