#PingSays: On alleged extort try on ex-Sen Estrada, war on drugs, invitation to Church on EJKs, BOC corruption | Oct. 3, 2017

In an ambush interview, Sen. Lacson answers questions on:
– alleged extortion try on former Sen. Estrada
– criticism on the war vs drugs
– inviting Church to give info on killings

Quotes from the interview…

On alleged extort try on former Sen. Estrada:
“I cannot comment on something I have no knowledge of. Kung 2013 nangyari dapat na-bring out na niya noon pa yan para at least ang action to be taken, medyo current ika nga.”
“He should provide specifics. Kasi kung walang specific, sino nag-attempt mag-extort? Kailan? Saan nangyari? Magkano? Those are the details na kailangan para makumpleto ang istorya. Itong general na statement na may attempt mag-extort, maraming tanong. Kung walang details, mahirap.”

On PNP chief’s claim that critics of the anti-drug war are ingrates:
“Ako I can almost feel ang kanyang frustration in the advent of all the issues confronting the PNP like Kian, Carl, Kulot. Nakaka-frustrate, being the head of the PNP, I can relate kasi nangyari rin sa akin may mga issues na kino-confront ang institution. I’d rather extend my understanding bakit naging reaction. I may not be in support of how he reacted to the critics ng PNP. Pero I can almost relate. And I can almost feel what he feels like.”

On inviting the Church to cooperate in the probe on supposed EJKs:
“Kaya nga we’re issuing an invitation to the Church. Kung pwede mag-provide sila ng detalye. Sino ang mga pulis na yan, ano ang sinabi nila, preferably kung may affidavits na ie-execute, i-forward kung di man sa amin sa ibang institutions like PAO para magawan ng kaukulang aksyon. Now kung marami talaga, we can always hold an executive session. And in confidence, they can bring them to us, and we will not shy away from our mandated task to conduct investigation.”
