TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite – Former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson on Friday pushed for more government support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to boost job generation especially in his home province of Cavite.
Lacson said giving MSMEs the needed boost, particularly through incentives and enhancing cottage industries, is particularly important in Cavite as it is the gateway to Southern Luzon.
“Cavite is the gateway to Southern Luzon. The government must help them by giving them incentives and enhancing cottage industries, to benefit the self-employed and small employers like MSMEs,” he said in Filipino at the press conference of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate here.

He added MSMEs account for 99.6 percent of industries in the country and 63 percent of our labor force, and thus deserve government’s full support.
Because of this, he said the government cannot risk their shutting down due to lack of support.
“MSMEs account for 99.6% of the workforce. If the MSMEs don’t get help and they collapse, so will our economy,” he said.

TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite – Tinulak ni dating Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson nitong Biyernes ang karagdagang suporta ng pamahalaan para sa Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) lalo na sa kanyang home province ng Cavite para makalikha ng dagdag na trabaho.
Giit ni Lacson, kailangang bigyan ng insentibo at suporta ang mga cottage industries para sa Cavite dahil ito ang gateway sa Southern Luzon.
“Ang Cavite ay gateway sa Southern Luzon. Tulungan ng pamahalaan, bigyan ng incentives at enhance ang cottage industries, ang pang-self employed at maliit na employed like MSMEs,” aniya sa pulong pambalitaan ng Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate dito.
Dagdag niya, sakop ng mga MSME ang 99.6 porsyento ng industriya sa bansa at 63 porsyento ng labor force natin, kung kaya’t kailangan sila suportahan.
Dahil dito, aniya, hindi pwedeng pumayag ang pamahalaan na magsara sila dahil sa kulang ng suporta.
“Ito ang pinakamalaking sector ng enterprises sa Pilipinas, mga 99.6%. So kung di natin matulungan ang MSMEs maraming mag-collapse ang economy,” aniya.
