Ping Lacson Gets Support for Senate Bid from GMA, Cavite

GENERAL MARIANO ALVAREZ, Cavite – For championing the cause of local government units, former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson on Friday got an endorsement for his senatorial bid from a mayor in his home province here.

Mayor Maricel Torres of GMA lauded Lacson for fighting for LGUs and their share of the national budget for development programs through his Budget Reform Advocacy for Village Empowerment (BRAVE).

“Of course, we respect our senator whose BRAVE program gives special attention to the small towns,” Torres said in Filipino at the proclamation rally of Team 1GMA, on the first day of the campaign season for local officials.

Ping Lacson’s Speech at Alyansa Rally in Cavite

Unang una sa lahat ay kukumustahin ko ang aking mga kababayan dito sa ating minamahal na lalawigan ng Cavite, sampu ng ating mga lokal na opisyal na kapiling natin ngayong hapon. Sana sa pag-uwi natin mamaya pagkatapos ng pagpupulong na ito ay ilayo tayo sa anumang kapahamakan at mananatiling malusog ang ating pangangatawan at ligtas sa anumang karamdaman.

Pangalawa sa lahat, gusto kong pasalamatan kayong lahat sa ating lalawigan dahil sa napakahabang panahon ng inyong pagtangkilik at pagsuporta sa aking serbisyo publiko, mula noong taon 2001 nang una akong pumalaot sa larangan ng pulitika, nandiyan kayo, sumuporta tumangkilik sa akin.

Taong 2004 noong ako ay sumabak sa pangpanguluhan bagama’t ang aking kinakalaban ang makapangyarihang incumbent na pangulo ng Pilipinas, GMA, at isang napaka popular na aktor na FPJ, binigyan nyo pa rin sa akin noon ang pinakamataas na boto dito sa lalawigan ng Cavite.

Ping Lacson Pushes More Gov’t Support for MSMEs to Boost Job Generation in Cavite

TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite – Former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson on Friday pushed for more government support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to boost job generation especially in his home province of Cavite.

Lacson said giving MSMEs the needed boost, particularly through incentives and enhancing cottage industries, is particularly important in Cavite as it is the gateway to Southern Luzon.

“Cavite is the gateway to Southern Luzon. The government must help them by giving them incentives and enhancing cottage industries, to benefit the self-employed and small employers like MSMEs,” he said in Filipino at the press conference of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate here.

Ping Lacson Draws Inspiration from Heroes in Cavite, Bulacan

SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan – Should he earn a seat in the Senate in May, former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson will draw inspiration anew from our national heroes from Bulacan and from Cavite.

In his speech at the rally of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate here, Lacson said both Bulacan and his native Cavite have their share of heroes in our rich history.

“We who have served and are serving here, we get inspiration and motivation from our heroes in Bulacan and Cavite. And out of our love for our country, we wish to serve well to the best of our ability,” he said in Filipino.

Ping Lacson One with Carmona in Celebrating Sorteo Festival

CARMONA, Cavite – Former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson was one with the people of this city early Monday morning in celebrating their Sorteo Festival.

Speaking at the city’s Sorteo Festival 2025 here, Lacson – who played a key role in Carmona’s cityhood, cited Rep. Roy Loyola for his persistent efforts towards the same goal.

“For 12 years, Rep. Loyola toiled to convert Carmona into a city. I am a witness to his efforts because I authored what became the law that paved the way for Carmona’s cityhood – which in turn will mean prosperity for its people,” he said in Filipino.
