Ping Lacson’s Speech at Alyansa Rally in Batangas

Meron ba kayong pagkakalagyan. Tama po ba yan?

Ping Lacson: Close Scrutiny of Budget Key to Infrastructure in Provinces

LUCENA, Quezon – A constant and close scrutiny of the national budget is key to addressing infrastructure and traffic challenges in the provinces, independent senatorial candidate Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson stressed Friday afternoon.

Lacson, who placed second in the 2016 senatorial elections in this province, said this will help ensure that infrastructure projects, both big-ticket and locally-funded, will not be prone to substandard materials due to corruption.

“This is our problem. We do not lack the wherewithal or the budget to improve or build new infrastructure projects, but the challenge is that the funds are lost to corruption,” he said in Filipino at the press conference of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate here.

Ping Lacson: Food Stamp Program Must be Data-Driven to Succeed

LUCENA, Quezon – If it is to succeed, the government’s food stamp program to help some 750,000 families must be data-driven, independent senatorial candidate Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson said Friday.

Lacson said having a solid database will help make sure that the needy families will be assisted, and that the government’s resources for the program will not be lost to corruption.

“For me, the most important thing is to make sure the program is data-driven before it is fully rolled out, so we won’t waste taxpayers’ money,” he said at the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate’s press conference here.

“We cannot afford to be indiscriminate, blindly giving away food stamps,” he added.

Ping Lacson Hopeful Filipino Voters Smart Enough Not to be Affected by China ‘Meddling’

LUCENA CITY – Independent senatorial candidate Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson is hopeful that when Filipino voters choose their leaders on May 12, they will be smart enough not to be affected by “meddling” and recent espionage activities involving China.

“We are hopeful Filipino voters are smart,” Lacson said in Filipino Friday at the press conference of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate here, when asked about the effect of such activities on the May 12 polls.

But Lacson also reiterated that it is high time we updated and toughened our anti-espionage law, especially in the wake of recent espionage activities linked to China.

Ping Lacson Lauds Bohol Town Mayor’s Brand of Transparency

JAGNA, Bohol – Transparency at its best. This was how independent senatorial candidate Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson described the brand of governance practiced by the mayor of this town who he regards as his “mentor.”

Lacson said late Tuesday afternoon that he was pleasantly surprised after visiting and getting a briefing on various key projects in Jagna town from Mayor Joseph “JR” Rañola.

“It is transparency at its best. I have not seen a briefing this transparent, and I don’t think the mayor would give such a briefing if he had something to hide,” he said after visiting the projects.
