In an interview, Sen. Lacson said the Senate will have a united stand on the issue of Charter change.

On the items taken up at the majority caucus:
“Ang developments, nangyari sa House, (and the Senate’s) legislative agenda, legislative calendar.”

On the Senate’s stand regarding Charter change:
“Pinagusapan din at length. Ano ang implications ng pagpalit ng leadership, and how will the Senate make a stand in the advent of these new developments.”
“United (ang Senate). And from here, we’ll meet as a whole body, with the minority.”
“Ang Senado will really make a stand as one tungkol sa Chacha… We will assert our role in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, as simple as that. Meaning, we’ll not enter into a joint session or convene into a joint session kung hindi malinaw na voting separately. And may mga ideas that we won’t make ourselves open to any possibility of a joint session, just to make sure.”

On the Senate’s unity on the Charter change issue:

“May mga possible scenarios, and napagkaisa namin we’ll stand as one body, as the Senate. That’s why we are conveying the same message to the minority. Kasi ang assumption namin sa kanila ganoon din.”
