Senator-elect Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson on Monday voiced concern that the Trump administration’s “unprecedentedly dangerous” bombing of nuclear facilities in Iran may trigger a world war.
Lacson also said he trusts that Philippine authorities have in place the needed evacuation and contingency plans for more than two million Filipinos deployed in the Middle East who may be affected by the conflict.
“US President Trump’s unprecedentedly dangerous move to ‘obliterate’ Iran’s highly fortified nuclear facilities, if not as factual as he had described it could trigger a world war on a scale nobody has ever witnessed or read about,” Lacson said on X.

“Ancient history taught us about Persia’s ability to recover with deadly vengeance,” he added.
Over the weekend, US President Donald Trump announced the US had bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan – adding Iran must agree to end its conflict with Israel.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a statement on X that his nation “reserves all options” in responding to the attack.
“Back here at home, I trust that concerned government agencies already have in place workable evacuation and contingency plans for more than 2 million OFWs currently deployed in the Middle East,” Lacson said.

Umaasa rin si Lacson na nakakasa na ang mga programa ng mga ahensya ng pamahalaan sa Pilipinas para tulungan ang higit dalawang milyong Pilipinong nagtatrabaho sa Gitnang Silangan na maaaring maipit dito.

Ipinahayag ni US President Donald Trump na binomba ng US ang tatlong nuclear sites sa Iran, kabilang ang Fordow, Natanz at Esfahan. Ani Trump, dapat pumayag na ang Iran na tapusin ang labanan nito sa Israel.
Nguni’t iginiit ni Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi na kinokonsidera ng Iran ang mga opsyon nito sa pagtugon sa atake ng US.
