Ping Lacson: Balance of Power Proving Effective vs Threats in WPS

DUMAGUETE CITY – The balance of power that the Marcos administration has adopted is proving effective so far in fending off threats in the West Philippine Sea, former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson said Thursday.

Lacson reiterated his full support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s policy of the Philippines not surrendering “not even an inch” of our territory.

“One thing the President did that I support, is that he allied with other countries that are as militarily strong if not stronger than China. This is what I have been espousing – the balance of power,” he said in Filipino at a press conference of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate here.

Ping Lacson: Budget Reform, Kadiwa Institutionalization Key to Boost Agriculture in Negros

DUMAGUETE CITY – Implementing budget reform and institutionalizing the Kadiwa store are the keys to helping the agriculture sector and ending poverty especially in the Negros region, former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson said Thursday.

Lacson and former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III are advocating a bigger role for local government units (LGUs) to work with the national government in buying crops from farmers at a fair price, instead of them being forced to sell to middlemen at a loss.

This jibes with the Kadiwa store system’s concept of farm-to-market intervention to help farmers.

“Why not institutionalize the Kadiwa store system by way of legislation? This is a work in progress. Assuming we win, this will be one of my legislative priorities,” Lacson said in Filipino at a press conference of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate here.

Ping Lacson to Voters: Power to Realize Your Dreams is in Your Ballot

Filipinos hold the power to realize their dreams – or throw them away – depending on what they do with their ballots on Election Day.

On this note, former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson on Tuesday appealed to Filipinos to choose wisely the public servants who will lead them in the next three to six years.

“You hold in your hands the power to improve or worsen the future of our children and the next generation of Filipinos of our beloved country,” Lacson said in Filipino at the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate’s rally in Pasay City.

“Let’s learn from the mistakes of past elections. We must choose those who are principled, who will fight corruption, and who truly love our country. Let’s choose those who will protect our coffers instead of those who will steal from it. Let’s choose those who won’t be drunk from power and will instead help us realize our dreams”,” he added.

Ping Lacson Reiterates Appeal to De-Escalate Political Tension

Former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson on Tuesday reiterated his appeal to the public to do their part to de-escalate instead of escalating the current political tension.

Lacson said that with the 2025 elections threatening to be divisive, the Filipino people must not allow the clashes among the parties concerned to add to the divisiveness.

“My appeal is for us to help de-escalate the situation instead of escalating it because nothing good will come out of the situation especially for ordinary Filipinos like us,” he said in Filipino at a press conference of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate in Pasay City.
