β€˜Tambay’ issue best addressed at the local level

Authorities – including the Philippine National Police – can best address the issue of β€œtambays” (loiterers) at the local level, without having to elevate it to the national level.

Sen. Panfilo M. Lacson stressed this Thursday after noting the arrests of such loiterers were based on local ordinances.

β€œIf they say, being β€˜tambay’ violates local ordinances, keep it local. – the DOH’s supply chain and monitoring system for medicines and vaccines
– P7-billion budget for expanded immunization program parked at DOH central office
– a ‘disconnect’ in the needs assessment of local government units
