🎥 How pork was ‘flushed out’ while lawmakers tackled the budget for 2018 | Dec. 4, 2017

“We were (able) to flush out (the) pork.

Quotes from the interview…

On whether the P50.7-billion cut in DPWH budget is ‘negotiable’:
“As long as they submit the documents to justify, na settled na nila ang right-of-way, na-desegregate, then I’m willing to restore.”
On claims that the DPWH can settle the ROW within the year:
“Iba ang commitment, iba ang may dokumento… Unless ma-settle ang ROW issues, no civil works will commence. Parang IOU na lang ang commitment kung ma-implement in one year, nasaan ang ROW component?

On Sec. Villar being ‘pressured’:
“He was explaining to me. And he acknowledged it. Sabi niya maraming salamat nga rin.”

On unintended consequence of trying to flush out pork:
I was telling them, I did not even bother to find out kaninong project yan.
