How can a raw video documenting continued illegal reclamation on the Taguig side of Laguna Lake be “curated” when it came directly from the inspection team itself?
Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson raised this question Monday as he dismissed the Taguig City government’s claim that the video he posted last Friday was altered.
In Filipino: Lacson: Paano “Curated” ang Raw Video ng Inspection Team sa Ilegal na Reclamation sa Taguig?
Lacson also cited another video from the inspection team that showed personnel of Taguig City’s Barangay Tanyag dumping garbage in the area.
“Curated my foot! How can a raw video taken on site and sent to my office by the inspection team in Lakeshore area of the Taguig side of Laguna Lake be misleading?” he said on X.
Lacson was referring to the Taguig City government’s statement claiming that the video Lacson posted on X was “curated.”
He said another video from the inspection team showed personnel of Barangay Tanyag dumping garbage in the area, raising questions about the city government’s claim that it did not know about the activity and “did not issue any permit or authority” for it.
How can the LGU say it did not know, when the LGU itself was the one doing the dumping? If private contractors are involved as alleged, all the more the city government must investigate because government resources were used to reclaim the land through the dumping of garbage),” he said.
On Friday, Lacson posted on X a video from a composite inspection team showing continued illegal reclamation in the Taguig Lakeshore area.
The team was composed of representatives from the Office of the Ombudsman, Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), Land Registration Authority (LRA), and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
In the 25-second video, members of the inspection team were seen looking over the Taguig Lakeshore area, where garbage was also seen being dumped. One inspector was heard asking whether the LLDA had personnel monitoring the area.
Lacson also cited information reaching his office indicating that some personalities connected to the Cayetanos of Taguig may have links to the continued impunity.

“Curated my foot! How can a raw video taken on site and sent to my office by the inspection team in Lakeshore area of the Taguig side of Laguna Lake be misleading?” aniya sa X.
Binubuo ang naturang team ng mga kinatawan mula sa Office of the Ombudsman, Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), Land Registration Authority (LRA), at Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
