Lacson Bill sa Money Laundering Tutok sa Casino, Real Estate Brokers, Atbp

Ipupurisige ni Senador Panfilo Lacson ang krusada laban sa pagpasok sa bansa ng salaping kinita sa mga ilegal na aktibidad o money laundering activities.

Sa Senate Bill 45 na inihain ni Lacson na naglalayong amyendahan ang umiiral na Anti-Money Laundering Act sa bansa, dinagdagan pa ng mambabatas ang mga aktibidad na ibibilang sa mga babantayan kaugnayan sa nabanggit na ilegal na transaksiyon.

Kabilang sa mga aktibidad na imomonitor ng mga awtoridad batay sa panukala ni Lacson ay ang operasyon ng mga casino, real estate brokers, mga nagbebenta ng artworks at maging mga negosyante ng mga mamamahaling sasakyan.

Lacson Bill to Punish Prison Guards Who Allow Contraband for Inmates

Sen. Panfilo M. Lacson has filed a bill seeking to finally stop the disturbing scenario of inmates at the New Bilibid Prison continuing to enjoy perks ranging from cash to drugs to gadgets and even fighting cocks and exotic pets.

Lacson lamented the continued enjoyment by inmates of such perks has given Philippine corrections authorities’ image a black eye. His Senate Bill 46 proposes penalties for prison guards and officials who allow such items into the penitentiary.

“A stiff penalty is required in this circumstance in order to instill fear and be an effective deterrence to those contemplating of doing this crime in the future.  More importantly, the said penalty applies as well to government officials or employees who cooperate or co-opt with the inmate or other private persons involved therein,” he said.

Ping: Prison Officials, Guards na Magpapapasok ng Kontrabando sa Piitan, May Kalalagyan

Kung walang guwardiya na makikipagsabwatan, walang kontrabando na makakapasok sa loob ng New Bilibid Prisons (NBP) at iba pang mga kulungan.

Ito ang pangunahing layunin ni Senador Panfilo Lacson sa pagsasampa ng Senate Bill 46 na pinamagatang Anti-Contraband in Prison Act bunga na rin ng sunod-sunod na pagkakalantad at pagkakalansag ng iba’t ibang bagay at kagamitan na naipapasok sa mga piitan.

Sa ilalim ng panukala ni Lacson, mabigat na kaparusahan ang naghihintay sa mga prison guards at mga opisyal ng mga piitan na mapapatunayang nakikipagsabwatan sa mga kriminal na nasa kanilang mga kulungan para maipasok ang iba’t ibang uri ng kontrabando.

Lacson Bill Removes Bank Secrecy Act Protection for All Government Officials, Employees

Uncovering ill-gotten wealth of government officials may soon get easier, with a proposed measure by Sen. Panfilo M. Lacson seeking to exclude them from the Bank Secrecy Law.

Lacson’s Senate Bill 47 effectively removes from all public servants the “protection” afforded by Republic Act 1405, which prohibits disclosure or inquiry into bank deposits.

“The avowed purpose of the law (Bank Secrecy Act) is meritorious in preserving the confidentiality of bank transactions. Unfortunately, this provision of the law prohibiting the disclosure of or inquiry to bank deposits had been exploited time and again to hamper and stall investigations of government officials and employees suspected of enriching themselves while in public office,” Lacson said.

Ping: Presidente, Taga-Gobyerno, Babaklasin sa Bank Secrecy Law

Maaari nang mausisa ng publiko ang mga bank accounts ng mga matataas na opisyal ng pamahalaan sa oras na maisabatas ang panukalang inihain ni Senador Panfilo Lacson.

Pangunahin kasing layunin ng Senate Bill 47 na inihain ni Lacson na amyendahan ang ilang nilalaman ng Republic Act 1405 o ang Bank Secrecy Law bunga na rin ng pagiging “madamot” nito sa publiko kaugnay sa mga detalye ng mga opisyal at kawani ng pamahalaan.

Partikular na probisyon ng naturang batas na nais maamyendahan ng senador ay ang bahaging nagbabawal sa mga bangko na isiwalat sa publiko ang mga bank accounts ng mga opisyal halal man o itinalaga at mga kawani ng pamahalaan.
