It is an honor to once again set foot on this hallowed ground of my beloved Alma Mater.
Here in the Academy, we are bound by stringent rules and norms of conduct. What are left off the books are covered by our long-standing customs and practices, sifted from the mores of our forerunners.
To make sure the Philippine Military Academy’s cadets have safe barracks, Sen. Panfilo M. Lacson on Tuesday asked the Department of National Defense to allot funds for the repair of the PMA Florendo Hall.
Lacson, a member of PMA Class 1971, also said an investigation is in order into how the condition of Florendo Hall had been allowed to deteriorate.
“Florendo Hall is shaking (and the) cadets have no barracks,” he said at a Senate hearing on the DND’s budget for 2017.
