Lacson Seeks Funds to Repair ‘Condemned’ Barracks for PMA Cadets

To make sure the Philippine Military Academy’s cadets have safe barracks, Sen. Panfilo M. Lacson on Tuesday asked the Department of National Defense to allot funds for the repair of the PMA Florendo Hall.

Lacson, a member of PMA Class 1971, also said an investigation is in order into how the condition of Florendo Hall had been allowed to deteriorate.

“Florendo Hall is shaking (and the) cadets have no barracks,” he said at a Senate hearing on the DND’s budget for 2017.
